The Dauphin County Bar Foundation is a charitable organization created in June of 1945 with a broad purpose and mission to serve those in need by providing funding to many worthy causes. Since 2010, the Dauphin County Bar Foundation has funded the Family Law Attorney at the Harrisburg MidPenn office exclusively to help low-income families and children in Dauphin County. Providing people with access to justice greatly assists individuals and strengthens our community.

MidPenn is a non-profit, public-interest law firm that provides bread and butter civil legal services to low-income residents and survivors of domestic violence. The DCBF’s “We Care About Children” campaign pays for the attorney at MidPenn, and so far the campaign raised more than $350,000 and helped over 2,700 families.

MidPenn provides legal supervision and all office overhead costs, so every dollar raised goes directly to service.

How you can help: 1) attend one or more fundraiser events, 2) make a tax-deductible donation to the DCBF and specify it’s for the Kerry Pierce advocacy program, 3) donate items such as collectibles, gift cards, etc. that we can use as prizes for raffles and silent auctions at our events, 4) spread the word about the events and encourage your friends and family to attend and have fun!
